DoSomething.org

February 24, 2010

Hey there, hope y’all are having a wonderful week so far.
I came across DoSomething.org today, a site that aims to “inspire, support and celebrate a generation of doers: people who see the need to do something, believe in their ability to get it done, and then take action.” They have a lot of really neat tools and resources, including a weekly $500 grant giveaways so that you can turn your ideas for tackling an issue into action. Something that I found that was really encouraging was their page of 2009 Do Something Awards winners. It’s really amazing to hear about what these young people doing, from raising money for Dychenne Muscular Dystrophy to building a children’s home in Asia. Of course, you can read all the great details on the webpage: http://www.dosomething.org/awards/2009-winners. Enjoy, and be inspired!
